More "Summer Days"

Today I went with Amy and some of "The Kids" to the park.... Ha, ha...just couldn't resist that one. Here you see Grammie Linda and Meemee Francis whooping it up!
Erica trying to keep up with very independent Emily.

Did you ever notice how grandkids have a way of lifting your mood right to the top? Little Buddy finishing up the last bite of peach cobbler, "Nanny, your peach cobbler recipe needs to be on the food channel!"
Nanny's never played DS, but Jordan wanted her to so badly. After watching JB race his Cars around the mountainous trail a few rounds, Nanny exclaims, "Whew, JB, Nanny's so dizzy, I think you're going to have to pull over and let her out." Not paying a whole lot of attention to him, Nanny suddenly notices that the action has stopped. "Why did you quit?" she asks. "To let you out, Nanny!" JB answers very seriously. I think you can tell by the picture that it was pretty funny!

August Birthdays

Today is Jon Abram's birthday. Margaret's was the third and Cameron's is in two days.

Jon Abram's family came in last evening after church. Jon Abram and Margaret spent most of the day in Greensboro. Margaret had a visit with the neurologist and then tests and blood work. Her MRI last week seemed to indicate MS. So we had the grandkids. Most of them had their "fingers" in making the birthday cake.
You can see what these critters enjoyed, licking the bowls.

Saturday, Nanny found a steal at a yard sale. A $200. tournament basketball game like new for $10. Needless to say, they had a time.
This is what happens when one sister teases another about boys....
The girls enjoyed the pool. I think Melinda is in there somewhere....
JB's 25 cent yard sale special...
This blog isn't perfect, but I'm so tired, so here it is.............

Sad Goodbyes

Our days went much too quickly, we made so many happy memories.
Looking at Mama's scrapbook...
Sowers favorites, fried green tomatoes, hot wings, and homemade mashed potatoes, yum, yum.
We enjoyed our brother so much! Poor guy, born into a family of senior citizens. When he went out he returned with a goody for each of his sisters.
Last evening at Golden Corral...
Saying goodbye this morning, so hard....

Monty is still with Avon and me for a couple more days. I just pray it won't be so long before we're all together again!

"Family".... surely one of God's greatest gifts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
